My name is Dögg Karadottir. I am Icelandic, born and raced in Gardabaer, a suborb of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. I have lived in Denmark since 2006. We have five Chihuahuas living with us.

I am very much of a nature person and I have always had dogs, cats, birds and more animals in my life. At the moment we only have the dogs and a 600L Aquarium. I could not see my home without pets. My dogs are very important to me and they suit the family's lifestyle perfectly and we all love them. In the past I have had Collie, the Icelandic sheepdog, Newfoundlander, American cocker spaniel and the English bulldog. I got my first Chihuahua in 2005 from a kennel in Iceland. I had waited for that puppy for over a year. Very soon after that I got my second one from Finland. Ever since I got to know the personality of these small dogs I have been totally in love with the breed. They are so lovely, tender and intelligent dogs. They are very easy to keep in the house and to travel with because of their small size, but still they are big dogs in their hearts and minds.
