| Contenders are dogs bred by me but not necessarily owned by me and the ones that are out having their show carrier.
It is very different how dogs respond to dog shows, some dogs really like the attention they are getting on dog shows, other feel bored or afraid. Every dog attending dog shows needs to be trained, both to walk gracefully in the ring and to stand in correct position on the table.
A Chihuahua dog often needs to go to several dog shows to feel confidence and really show himself as the beautiful dog he/she is. It is also very important for the dog to have a good handler, so it is also an important factor for the dog to do well at shows. I do not attend every show. I do it as a hobby and when ever I have the opportunity and time, and then it is really fun. I do not expect anything else from my puppy buyers, but of course I get so happy when they do well at shows.
Of course not all dogs from my breeding are out in the show ring, it is not for all people/dogs but instead they enjoy life as a family dogs. |
